With its flat stretches of fine sand at low tide and wondeful range of wind-sculpted shingle dunes, the 500 metres long Pelham Beach is ideal for all season familty fun. There are a fantastic number of attractions within walking distance of the beach and a rich diversity of cafes, bars and restaurants, which cater for all tastes. Following a £43 million investment by Southern Water, the bathing waters are cleaner than ever, and during the summer months prove that there is nothing like swimming in the sea. Elsewhere, there are rugged cliff top terrains with spectacular views over the English Channel.
